iML, a battery management and chip design subsidiary of American IC design company Exar, was bought by E-Town Capital and CHIPONE in 2016 .

In 2017, E-Town Capital further implemented the share swap integration to become a shareholder of CHIPONE. By the end of October 2018, E-Town Capital had a shareholding ratio of 27.89 percent.

In recent years, CHIPONE has developed rapidly. It is one of the most well developed IC (integrated circuit) design companies in China's panel industry. Its LED display driver products rank among the top in global shipments. Their major customers include world-renowned display panel manufacturers such as BOE, Samsung, and LG.

The project is to further improve the layout structure of the integrated circuit industrial chain in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area through the PE mergers and acquisitions + high-potential enterprise model.
